Lorin’s love and interest in bodywork began after a cranial-sacral session for whiplash in 1994. After a decade of contemplating changing career paths, she enrolled at Oregon School of Massage. My Hawaii...

Ever since I was a small child I have always been drawn to Hawaii. This was even before I found out that it is a tropical paradise. Maybe I just liked the way it sounded. I was 4 or 5 when I said to my Mom one day "I'm going to grow up and live in Hawaii!" My mother said that I declared this so passionately that she believed I would do it!

I have now been 5 times. I am in rapture. I am in joy. I am in love.

I will retire in Hawaii. I just can't live without it that long, but I would feel torn to completely leave Portland. I feel such a deep connection to Portland, also. I can feel a warm pink glow around this city that stirs a different kind of creativity than in Hawaii, so I have decided that I should be near to both! Right now I am working on having a house here and a house there so I can live here 6 months of the year and there the other 6! I am going to make this happen...just watch me.
